My dad just might win his very first run for office! He came out on
top in his bid for a city council seat in Peachtree City. But since there were four candidates, none took a majority of the votes and a runoff is scheduled for early December. So let’s get out the vote!

The results are in: my pumpkin won TWO awards this year: most seasonal (for the ski goggles) and most alien (for giant googly eyes that could easily be mistaken for ski goggles).

What a lovely birthday, and it wasn’t even mine. We woke up early and headed to Ria’s to meet Brennan’s family and eat what may well be the world’s tastiest strawberry pancakes. Fresh cream on top, sliced berries in every layer of the stack. Yum. After that we wandered through Oakland Cemetery and met a very nice tour guide who’s working on a book about Atlanta’s mayors and where they’re buried. Turns out 26 of the 50 are in Oakland.
